The possibility of one of your employees getting injured at work isn’t a pleasant thing to think about. But sadly, it’s quite a regular occurrence. Did you know that, every year in the UK, around 500,000 employees suffer a non-fatal injury at work, and there are around 140 deaths? And many of those involve work equipment.    

The Health & Safety Executive has a range of regulations to help reduce preventable injuries and work-related illnesses happening to employees at their workplace. And your managers need to make sure that their workplace complies with them. One is the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998, or PUWER. It covers the safe use of various workplace equipment.
